Very tricky stuff foundation, and you can’t always judge a colour by it’s bottle! There is nothing more frustrating (and costly) than getting it home, putting it on only to find it’s not the right shade for you! So how do you get it right? First of all you MUST try before you buy! Test the foundation on your jawline (not on the back of your hand or your inner wrist, contrary to popular belief). The one that disappears in to your skin without a trace is the right shade for you. And be sure to always test the colour in NATURAL daylight for accuracy. Artificial light is very deceptive and the last thing you want is a mask line around your face! Oh…. And PS: If you’re anything like me and love the sunshine don’t forget you may need to reassess your foundation colour during summer, as you’re more than likely going to need a deeper colour when tanned!
